The challenge

E-commerce and freelance services in West Africa face high risks of fraud, non-delivery, or unpaid work. Users lacked a trusted, neutral platform to hold funds securely until service completion.

The solution

Fonaqo built OWORI SECURE, a smart digital escrow platform. Funds are safely held in a digital vault and only released to the seller upon buyer confirmation. Features include instant Mobile Money integration, dynamic fee calculator, and human dispute resolution within 48 hours.

The impact

Currently operating in a active test phase to refine UX, OTP onboarding, and dispute workflows prior to launching live financial settlements.
